When analysing your color season, it can be super helpful to find celebrities who have similar features to you and see what their season is, what colors suit them, what colors drain them. This can serve as inspiration for your own outfit, makeup, hair colors, jewelry and help you understand your own season better.

Most celebrities have not been verified by color analysts but we can speculate on what their color season might be based on their natural features and the colors that suit them best.

Light Summer Celebrities: Light, Cool & Muted

The Light Summer palette is delicate and soft, resting on the cusp of Summer and Spring. Think of the long early-summer days in June, when the grass is fresh and the skies are blue.

Light Summer is the lightest of the Summer palettes, blending the dusty, muted and soft qualities of Summer with the freshness, lightness and brightness of Spring.

The overall impression of Light Summer is delicate, and ethereal with colours that are light, cool, soft and pastel-like.

How do you spot a Light Summer?

The first thing you’ll spot about a Light Summer is their fair coloring. You’ll notice that they look amazinf in light pastel colors like light blue, baby pink, light green, silver, light gray. Colors like these just work, where as dark colors like black, dark brown, burgundy, deep olive green, or maroon, overwhelm them.

Hair

They’ll typically have natural blonde or light brown hair with a slight ashy quality. Think ash or cool blonde/brown instead of honey or golden blonde/brown.

It’s a common misconception that all Light Summers are super blonde. Many Light Summers were blonde as children and now have dark blonde or light brown hair, but it typically is not darker than a level 6 or 7. Most famous Light Summer women have highlighted or dyed blonde hair, and their natural roots are around a level 6-8.

Ofcourse it's also possible to have naturally lighter hair (levels 8-10) and be a Light Summer - in fact with natural hair that light, only two seasons are realistically likely - Light Summer or Light Spring.

Eyes

The eyes are light with a hint of softness. Usually either light blue, light gray, or light green. Whatever the color, the eyes are light and a little muted.

Skin

The skin is usually fair and neutral-cool with a slightly muted quality to it.

True Summer Celebrities: Cool, Muted & Light

The True Summer palette is delicate, gentle and elegant. Think of the blues of summer skies, long summer nights, lakes and the soft pinks and purples of long summer sunsets. True Summer is the epitome of the summer palettes, embodying the qualities of summer with a slight hint of the crispness of winter.

How do you spot a True Summer?

True Summers typically have a distinct look to them, with medium to dark brown hair, light skin and blue, green, gray or hazel eyes. You’ll notice some contrast in their features, with darker hair and lighter skin, but not enough contrast to be a winter. There is a crispness to their appearance that makes them distinctly cool-toned.

The best way to spot a True Summer though, is to see how they look in soft blues, muted pinks, soft greens, muted purples, silvers and grays. These colors make True Summers look glowing. Conversely, you’ll notice that orange, black, butterscotch yellow, mustard, and olive simply do not suit True Summers.

Hair

Typically medium to dark brown, around a level 3-6, with a slight, muted and ashy quality to it. It's not as dark as the hair of True Winter, but also not as light as the other summer palettes. One way to spot a True Summer is to see how blonde looks on them. Given their light features otherwise, you'd think blonde would suit them. Oftentimes, though, blonde washes them out, and they look far better with brown hair and need that contrast in their appearance.

Eyes

It's pretty common for True Summers to have striking blue or blue-gray eyes. Other eye colors are possible, but these seem to be the most common for this season.

Skin

The skin is typically quite fair (quite a bit lighter than the hair) and has a distinct cool undertone.

Soft Summer Celebrities: Muted, Cool & Light

Soft Summer is one of the most popular and most common palettes! This gorgeous palette embodies characteristics of both the Summer and Autumn seasons, resulting in a palette that is soft, subdued, gentle, dusty, sophisticated and elegant.

It can sometimes be difficult to tell a Soft Summer apart from a Soft Autumn, Light Summer or Light Spring. One thing to look out for is a soft, slightly dusty quality to their appearance, with all features blending together softly. No harsh contrasts between hair and skin and eyes.

How do you spot a Soft Summer?

Hair

The natural hair color of Soft Summers is around a level 4-7 depending on ethnicity. One thing that you'll notice though is that the hair color is not much darker than the skin color and can even be the same level of depth. For example, someone with medium dark skin might have level 4-5 hair, and someone with medium-fair skin might have level 6-7 hair. The hair also has a muted ashy tone to it.

Eyes

The eyes can range from hazel, gray, green-gray, blue-gray to a soft amber. One thing they'll all have in common is having a muted soft quality.

Skin

The skin can range from medium-dark to medium-light and typically is not much lighter than the hair. Soft Summers usually tan well. The skin is medium-cool in undertone with a smokiness to it.

However, there are some people that I see have the qualities of Summer, and that other color analysts have also speculated might be Summers.
